In 1994, a small group of members of the Krewe of Sant’ Yago (KSY) produced a legacy when they created the KSY Education Foundation as a 501c3 organization. Our Tampa Bay community has benefited significantly from close to $5M in donations and 1093 scholarship recipients awarded among the three institutions we support; USF, UT, and HCC in the Tampa Bay area. This academic year of 2023-24 alone we are sponsoring 114 KSY scholarship recipients! These gifts have transformed the mostly Latin and the economically underprivileged students into an institution of international importance, a unique educational, social and esthetic resource for our Tampa Bay community and beyond. Working as the KSY Education Foundation Vice and President for the past 21 years, I am extremely proud of our successes! Our KSY Foundation is the No. 1 provider of scholarships of all the Krewes in the city of Tampa and the No. 1 provider of scholarships to Latino students in the entire Bay Area.
